Product Review: DermaGlo Skin Health Drink

I've always looked young for my age; however now I'm in my early thirties I've started to worry about things like wrinkles and sagging skin. I don't actually have any yet (thank God), but I'm sure the skin around my face and neck isn't as 'elastic' as it used to be.
Collagen is what gives skin its elasticity, and apparently it starts to diminish at a rate of 1.5 per cent every year from the age of 25. As I refuse to inject poison into my body in the form of botox, I agreed to try DermaGlo. It's a new product which promises results as good as, if not better than, botox...in a drink.
DermaGlo contains marine collagen (derived from salmon and red snapper fish), hyaluronic acid and a range of vitamins and minerals. It claims to maintain normal hair growth, reduce tiredness and fatigue and leave your skin looking brighter and more radiant. You're supposed to drink one 60ml bottle every day for four weeks to start seeing a difference, or continue for eight weeks if you want longer lasting results. I was keen to find out whether it lived up to the hype.
Upon opening my first bottle, I was a little scared to drink the liquid inside because it looked and smelt like cod liver oil, which I hate. However, I powered through and was pleased to discover it doesn't taste like cod liver oil at all but has a nice fruity flavour. The packaging doesn't specify which flavour the drink is, but I would hazard a guess at raspberry.

The bottles are small enough to pop in your bag to take to work or wherever you're going. The above photo should give you an idea of the size (and I don't have especially large hands; in fact I'd say they're probably more on the small side). But just because the drinks are little, one a day is all you need so don't drink any more than that.

I didn't take this product for long enough to see a difference in my skin and hair, partly because I was only sent 12 bottles and partly because my husband took a liking to them and pinched a few, but I did enjoy drinking it and looked forward to my bottle every day. I agree that it reduces tiredness – I'd drink one when I had a bit of a 'slump' and it'd perk me up, although I can't be sure that this wasn't a placebo effect because I expected it to. Either way, it worked.

If you're worried about the effects of ageing but like me, don't want to do anything as drastic or invasive as getting botox, DermaGlo could be the answer. At least it won't leave you with a constantly surprised expression on your face.
