Did you make a New Year's resolution to be fitter and healthier this year? To stop eating so much junk and to nourish your body with clean, whole foods? To get to the gym at least once a week? Or to focus on the positive in life and do more things that make you happy?
How's that going?
Most people gave up on their resolutions before the end of January. Well, it's now March and spring is in the air. Everyone is thinking of 'getting set for summer' and achieving that perfect 'bikini body'.

And I'll bet you one thing: they'll probably fail at that too.
You see, the problem is all these 'quick fixes' and 'miracle diets' that society and the media would like you to believe are real. Listen to me: they're not. Fads and crash diets will only harm your body and mess up your metabolism. Keep well away.
My intention with this blog is to teach you how to eat right, work out safely and make positive lifestyle changes to achieve a strong mind, body and soul. I will not post about dieting and weight loss. If you need to lose weight, do so for the sake of your health and not for superficial reasons. Follow the tips I will post, eat a balanced diet and exercise often. Slowly but surely the weight will take care of itself.
Health and wellbeing is not about having the so-called 'perfect' body. It's about loving yourself, no matter what shape or size you are. You should treat your body the way you would a small child. Feed it wholesome, nourishing foods. Make time for it. Let it run around and play outside. Treat it with care and respect, and don't abuse it. Keep it away from cigarettes, drugs and alcohol. Show your body that it's important. After all, it's the only one you'll ever have.
