This is a sponsored post. However, all words have been written by me and all advice and opinions are my own.

Dads can be difficult to buy for at the best of times, but 2020 has changed everything and a lot of us will be finding it even harder this year, with social distancing still in place for most countries. So here are a few suggestions for ways you can spoil your dad even if you're not able to celebrate with him right now.

How to Celebrate a Socially Distanced Father's Day

1. Send him a personalised card and gift
Let Dad know you're thinking of him by creating a personalised card on moonpig.com and, if you're not able to visit, having it sent straight to his house. Moonpig also offers a varied selection of Father's Day gifts, which takes the hassle out of shopping for a present. Whatever his interests, you're sure to find something to suit him.

2. Buy an experience for after lockdown
Another great gift for your dad is an experience that you can enjoy together. Buy it now, and as soon as we're allowed to see each other again you can take him for a day out of his choice. I picked this Mega Choice for Two gift voucher from Moonpig which includes a choice of 14 experiences, including entrance to a castle, a ghost walk tour, an escape room experience, a segway experience and even zorbing.

3. Hold a socially distanced garden party
If you live close to your dad and the weather's nice on Father's Day, you could invite him and a couple of other people round to celebrate the day with a picnic, barbecue or tea party in your back garden. Just make sure to stick to the social distancing guidelines currently in place in your area.

4. Organise a virtual gathering
For those not able to visit their dad this year, a virtual meetup on a platform such as Zoom or Houseparty is the next best thing. You can invite as many friends and family as you want to your online bash and have fun together without any worry.

I hope this post has given you a few good ideas for ways to hold a socially distanced Father's Day celebration in 2020. Let's hope that by next year we'll all be able to celebrate together again!
