I
was recently asked to review a range of soft drinks by new brand Life Tonics. I'll be honest, when I heard the phrase 'soft drinks'
I almost turned them down because I imagined sugar-laden fizzy sodas
or fake-healthy juices. However, a quick read of the press release
reassured me that this wasn't the case, so I agreed to sample their
new product...and I'm so glad I did!
Life
Tonics drinks are a mixture of coconut water and natural fruit
extracts. They're also enriched with vitamins and minerals and
sweetened with Stevia – a natural sweetener – rather than sugar
or artificial sweeteners. They have an isotonic formulation, meaning
they help to enhance the absorption of water during physical
exercise, making them an effective way to rehydrate your body during
and after a workout.
They
come in three different flavours – coconut & mint, dalandan
orange and elderberry & juniper. They're all so delicious (the
mint one was both my and my husband's favourite, in fact we fought over it)
that you can't even tell they're good for you – they taste like
regular fruit drinks which are often full of sugar and not so
health-friendly. And at just 90 calories per bottle, you can't really
go wrong.
I also want to note that I love the packaging – as you can see, it's bright, fun and eye catching. I'm really happy that these drinks found their way into my life and will definitely be purchasing the coconut & mint flavour when I come across it.
If
you fancy trying Life Tonics drinks, they retail at £1.49 for a
500ml bottle and can be found in WH Smith Travel nationwide right now
and Waitrose stores within the next couple of weeks.
Thanks
to Life Tonics for sending me a selection of their drinks to review.
