Charity of the Month: March

At the beginning of 2017 I decided to start a new blog series called Charity of the Month, in which every month throughout the year I dedicate a post to a small charity I believe you should check out and think about supporting. So far these posts have been well received and I'm really enjoying being able to raise awareness for some worthy causes. And I really think you're going to love the charity I've chosen for March!

Project Moz is a registered charity founded by local teachers in Tunbridge Wells, UK, which supports community work being carried out in Mozambique. This mainly includes the care of orphaned children and the running of community projects such as business ventures, care and education for street children, providing food and medicine to families in need and AIDS awareness education for adults.

Since its inception in 2010, Project Moz has funded the building of an orphanage for abandoned children, distributed many food parcels and mosquito nets to struggling families and arranged sponsorship of over 30 children. All this was achieved from fundraising locally in Kent and the charity is now turning its attention to the next big project of building a specialist baby house for the care of abandoned and orphaned infants, and sourcing 'life straws' to provide access to clean water for communities without.

If you want to support Project Moz, or for more information about their fundraising events, check out their website, buy a gift card or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

If you are a charity or non-profit organisation who would like to be featured as my Charity of the Month (or if you would like to nominate one), please email me at nicspirational@gmail.com. This is a free service, however, while I will consider every application, due to the sheer volume it's impossible for me to feature every single one on the blog.
